About Jared

My passion and purpose is to help people who suffer from unresolved pain that hinders their quality of life. From personal experience and from working with thousands of patients as a physical therapist, acupuncturist, and HeartMath coach for over 20 years, I have learned that pain is a signal of disharmony in the body, whether it is physical, emotional, mental or spiritual in nature. I use my intuition and my gift of observing and listening to the patient’s body in order to unlock its innate healing abilities, and heal the root causes of their pain so they can live the life they want to live.
Through cultivating my approach by working one on one with patients, I have created a system to help people stop ignoring their pain, and instead instead tap into its message: why it is there, where it is coming from, and where the healing opportunities are. I'll be the guide on your wellness journey, where you will not only learn to alleviate or resolve your pain, but also to understand more about yourself, both of which can lead to deep transformational healing.

What brought me here?

I was a multi-sport high school and college athlete, and spent way more time than I wanted in the training room trying to fix up my body and deal with pain. I did all of it - stretching, strengthening, ice baths, heat packs, massage, electrical stimulation - and yet I still woke up every day with back pain, among other ailments. My body hurt all the time, despite the fact that I had graduated as a physical therapist! Of all people, I was supposed to have learned how to fix my pain, but instead I felt resigned to believe that I was just going to have to deal with this for the rest of my life.
The choice was live with this pain, or get support to get pain free. Those who know me know I'm not one to settle, so I began to explore options, learning some of the work I do now. I dedicated the few post-graduate resources I had to pain reduction. I remember one of the practitioners I was seeing told me that the next phase of my healing was to do the emotional work. I told him, "No, you don't understand, I still have my back pain and neck pain." But then as I started to acknowledge and work through my stored emotions from childhood abuse - fear, sadness, the feeling of being alone - my back pain and other aches and pains started to be relieved!
Soon after doing the work to heal, I found myself living pain free, to the point that even now, taking a Band-aid off is painful! Now when I get a pain in my body, I know it is something to look at, acknowledge, and learn from. I’m so passionate about helping people heal because I know first hand how it is to live with chronic pain, and how it affects your life: relationships, daily living, creativity. It can color your whole outlook; it’s very hard to be happy and excited about life when you are in pain.

On a Personal Note:

I am a husband and a father of two wonderful girls. I’m naturally an outgoing and charismatic person who gets energized with groups of people and then rejuvenates with meditation and self care. I played baseball, football and dove in high school and played collegiate baseball at the University of Vermont. I still play in an adult baseball league that plays with the 1886 rule book. I’m also active in the capoeira (the Brazilian Martial art) community.
